I am not sure of exactly what type you have but I have worked on many, many
of these type solenoids. Normally they just have a coil operating a spring
loaded rod that opensa tiny orifice and allows the air to push the diaphram
open. They usually fail because crud gets into that orifice. Or the coil
or electrical signal fails. Take it apart as far as you can, clean it out
with compressed air, lube it up with power steering fluid, throw it together
and it should work. To check the coil activate it and stick a small
phillips into it to see if there is a magnetic field. Kim
