I discovered at this website: www.platedepot.com that you can buy original
license plates issued by your home state, from the year your car was
manufactured.
My state, Massachusetts allows the use of such plates as a legal
registration as long as the number isn't currently in use by someone else.
The other requirements are pretty basic like plate condition etc.
I found one that I can use for my '74 Brick.
