Fellow autocrossers:
Round #3 brought quite a varied day of weather, from high overcast with dry
pavement to clouds pouring rain on a very wet and puddled course. The last run
group got their share of the wet stuff and practice in the fine art of
controlling a car under extremely slick conditions. Through it all, Matt &
Megan Francavilla did a fine job as event chairs and kept the event rolling
under constantly changing conditions. The wide open course, without slaloms or
pin turns, was the perfect choice for the day and a good decision by Charlie
Davis.
Clear skies and warm weather are predicted for Round #4, next Sunday's event,
to be chaired by and run on a course designed by Mark Watson. Should someone
like to co-chair with Mark, please let me know.
