Thanks everyone... I found an even better solution
(duhhh). I had the brilliant realization this morning
that this should be covered under my drive train
warranty (up to 60k miles) which it is. Woohoo!!!
Subaru Santa Cruz is going to take care of it on
Wednesday morning.
