NASCAR Racing 2003 is the latest development of
Papyrus' physics engine, the engine used to such
success in the Grand Prix Legends game. Many of the
GPL road tracks are being ported to NR2k3 by the
sim-racing community, too, so you won't be limited to
Watkins Glen and Sears Point. If that isn't enough,
there are mods for the game to bring in the Busch
cars, Craftsman trucks, and, in beta form, Trans Am.

Also worthy of note are EA's last two F1 games, F1
2002 and F1 Challenge 99-02. Both decent in their own
right, but put over the top by the mods available for
them, including variations on FIA GT cars, Ferrari 360
Cup, Alfa 147 Cup, Aussie V8 Touring cars, ETCC, et
cetera.
