So glad to see that I can find a Sunday to spend with my family in LA and the
events just happen. Shows what dedication and teamwork we have putting our
events on. Over 200 drivers! And we were thinking Marina was too far for a
good turnout? Good going gang to start a little late, get 4 runs and funs and
out by 6:00, WOW!!

Need a group of MH drivers like Jim to spread the fun around.

As Event Chair Chief (it sounds so much more dignified than "herder, don't
you think?), Rookie Chairs Paul Chevez, and the Clarks, Andy and Teresa, did
an absolutely terrific job. After next month, Andy and Teresa are moving to
DC, so only Paul will be left on the left on the Chair D-base. There are the
"usual suspects", without whom these deals just don't go off. Don, Durk,
Jeremy, take a bow. I am always so afraid Don might not show, and the wiring
for the event will look like a Franco's a pasta dinner. Durk and Jeremy keep
it all together at the lonely end of the field. So together that is it
almost never registers that its happening. But the Gold Star award for June
1 goes to: ... "the envelop please"....

Jim Ochi. Unanimous. Consider that when you drive the motorhome for Marina
you have to get over to SL at about (what say?) 4:00 AM for a nice three
hour putt down to the penensula in a swell handling vehicle like Moby, help
in the setup, the event birthing process, stay there all day, and then as
the sun sets, supervise the course takedown, trash dump, and the re-packing.
Of course, then all you have to do is get it back up to the BA in Sunday
night traffic. That's a sixteen hour day.

That's pretty neat, right?

Tony
