No, there are no rules except for DOT tires and
once registered.

Note that the rules do not say plate/documentation
are required but only that they will be *accepted*
as proof. You don't have to prove anything unless
you are protested, and a protest committee put
together at the event would have to decide what
alternate proof is acceptable.
