I liked my trailer (the one Jim Ochi now has) a lot, the only caveats are: 

1) In California, your speed limit is never higher than 55, and you're 
limited to the right 2 lanes.  

2) While I had no adverse effects with my Civics, CRX or RX-7s, Katie Kelly 
found out that the hitch adversely affected the handling of her Miata 
(mid-sweeper oversteer and slow corner exit push).  It got a whole bunch 
better when we removed the hitch...
