Looking for a ride Sunday

My Miata got crunched, and now the hood will only engage the first
catch.  Will that pass tech?  I suspect not.

So I am looking for a ride in a street-tired AS/BS/CS car for the
second run group.  Most of the folks I know in those classes are in
the open classes and run race tires.  Would it be permissible
(points-wise) to run in the following or preceding group after a tire
change?
