I saw Joel Villareal, all of 21 years old, take BSPV by .5 of a second
yesterday over his old man and Brian Hobaugh. This was the last final run of
the final event of the AAS season. The run before, he spun out. That final
run was one of those things you feel lucky to even see, like you're
witnessing a birth or some sort of awakening. No one can teach you how to do
that, not with words, anyway. To hell with common sense. You just dig it out
of somewhere in your soul.
Don't worry, I feel born again.
