If you look at the national entries it appears they're only running Street
Touring S, which implies everyone will have to use the less grippy tires.

I personally think STS/R is a great class, since it allows my car to have a
better suspension than the stock version but still to be reasonably
competitive. Otherwise I'd have to go out and buy a car especially for
auto-x.

you dont get any credit in the PAX between dot r-tires and street tires.
actually dot r-tires ARE street tires, technically.  the MOD (and prepared)
classes that run slicks do have some sort of accommodation for the
difference in those tires.

the only one i never understood was the ST classes... one for street tires
and one for r-tires?
