Thought Ben Martinez and Kevin Lahey did an outstanding job at Marina
Airport yesterday. They even got to meet and "entertain" the airport
manager. <G>
At our previous open to all event at Marina in June, we attracted 166
entrants.
Yesterday, limited to members only, we had 179 entrants. Go figure.
Hope everyone appreciated the uniformed guard at the gate. That seemed to
set a level of behavior at the event. He was there to be sure there would
be no confrontations at B St. and the North-South Taxiway. We have to keep
that lane open. Never mind that no airplane ever seems to use it.
People who have absconded with loaner helmets are requested to
retrun them. We hate to run out and deprive new drivers of the driving
opportunity. We lost about 12 helmets at the GGF event. They have not been
replaced.
