I wasn't aware of 70mph as any official speed limit. However, the parts
that do mention speed I believe discuss the fastest stock and Street
Prepared vehicles.
Of course, with the amazing capabilities of the current crop of SS and ASP
cars and the marvels that are the current R-Compounds, it would seem speeds
either need to be allowed to creep up as they are naturally, or we have to
be content with far tighter courses than in the past. The times they are a
changing.
I think we need to a compromise. Highway speeds have gone up. Equipment
has gotten better. I'd rather not contain a maxed out ASP car to the low
60's.
But I wouldn't necessarily call 83mph in a SS car the sport I know as
SoloII.
