Based on this logic SS would have to be a supplemental class as the cars
are new and not fully developed.

But in the big picture:

The logic that these newer classes aren't ready for prime time is
especially ironic when we consider that the oppenents of making these
full at the national level are also the people who want to 'grow the
sport' and make it more inclusive to other types of car people.
