STS requires displacement of 3.0l or less, doesn't it?  The 96
and on E36 M3's have a displacement of 3.2l.

With the modifications you mentioned, BSP is the right class.

You could always do more and run in SM.  Of course, I've never been
one to really mess with my M3 in a heavy way.  I've done the chip
and xbrace (placing me in BSP, which is ok at a local level), but
I think it's very well balanced for its intended compromise, and
I want to continue to street it.  If I chose to campaign it
divisionally or nationally, I'd almost certain undo the work (5
minutes with the shark injector, 25 minutes for the xbrace) for
those events and run in BS.
