The 2001 Florida State Solo2 Championships is a go for November 11th at
Gainesville Raceway.
A schedule and course design should be up at http://www.buccaneersolo.org by
tomorrow. While there be sure to preregister for the event! It is not
mandatory to preregister, but is highly appreciated and you will receive a
FREE limited edition 2001 FSC TSHIRT just for registering early. The tshirts
will also be available for purchase at the event for $10.
There has been a bit of confusion of whether it is a two day event or a one
day and the answer is it is a ONE day event. The only thing happening on
Saturday, November 10th is Early Registration (recommended) and Tech from
6pm-8:30pm at the Sheraton Gainesville. The Sheraton Gainesville still has
rooms available for SCCA and non-SCCA participants at the $69 rate. Just be
sure to mention you are wanting the SCCA rate.
Also, just to clarify, there is no prequalification to enter the Florida
State Championships. It is open to SCCA and non-SCCA members, both
experienced autocrossers and novices. All you need is a valid driver's
license, a car that will pass tech, and your entry fee.
