The first Houston Region Autocross of
the 2001 season is set for tomorrow,
Jan. 7th at Grandsport Speedway in
Hitchcock, Texas.
The speedway owners have cleaned up
much of the construction debris from the
last 3 months, swept the track, and filled
in around "Mustang Lake". The course
tomorrow will be about 40 seconds. We
expect to have use of the full site next
month once the fill have firmed up a bit.
We just got back from helping Roger
"the Real" Johnson set of one of his
famous smooth flowing courses and
are ready for a good event tomorrow.
Forecast is for a 30% to 40% chance
of rain and a high in the mid 60s, so bring
your rain gear just in case.
