Hmm. I can usually reach a driver door.
But not in the Lotus. No matter. Europas do not have a dentent to hold the
door open. Just let out the clutch in first and catch the door as it
closes.
No need to be as violent as a cab driver when performing this ritual. (For
those unfamiliar with cab-driving: A disgruntled customer will often
attempt to annoy a cab driver by leaving the rear door open and walking
away. The driver will often back up and jamb the brakes so he does not have
to get out of the cab. In some cities, he may also shoot you.)
