In reality, this doesn't seem much different than "driving on the highway
for 100 miles"... I've measured my tire temps after driving 'considerably'
faster than the allowed 75mph highway limits and found rather wimpy tire
temps (i.e. 110F). A local (BFG) tire guru suggests heating your tires via
a constant load (yes, drive many circles left, right, and repeat.. skid pad
heating until your tires exceed 150F). Then, 24 hours or so later you're
ready to race! If all it really takes is heating the tires to Texas or
Arizona summer daytime temps (i.e. highway driving), then you may have
found the most economical prep yet!

Any tire guru's out there that can provide a technical explanation why the
highway driving appears effective without any apparent significant heating?
