Wire Wheel Nuts and Cubby Box Surround

Good morning Sunbeams.
Would someone please tell me which thread is on which side of the car
for the wire wheel nuts?  I seem to remember that the right side has
left hand thread and the left side has RHT.  Also why are there two
types of cubby box surrounds?  I have one that has a notch in the top
center and one that has no notch?  Thanks in advance.
