All,
I recently dropped the transmission on my early (non-synchro)
series IV because I was hearing a whirring noise (possibly the
output shaft bearing) and it leaked oil like a sieve. I took it
apart and found that the 4th gear synchro and drive gear
assembly was loose due to wear. Everything else looks good.
Anyway, I've decided to install an all-synchro transmission from
a series V. So if anyone would like the box of all my series IV
transmission parts, it's yours for the price of shipping. Let me
know.
I'll also be parting out a Series V pretty soon, so feel free to
send me any special requests.
