air compressor

Hi all,

I have a non Sunbeam question.  I am looking into buying a air compressor,
and after some research I found that about 8CFM would to the trick.  Until I
found out that my HVLP spray gun takes about 12 CFMs.  I have used the gun
with an compressor that put out 8CFMs, and information about HVLP guns says
that only 1.5-3 HP compressor is needed (a compressor that puts out 10 -14
CFMs is 6+ HP at 230v).  Any advice as to what size compressor I need would
be helpful.
