While the Aztec seems like some sort of bad joke, consider that many, many
trend setting cars were also failures when new and often were the ugliest
things on the road at the time- the Chrysler Airflow of 1934 comes to mind as
does the 1947 Studebaker-but both were the first of the "new" cars.
Sadly, it has been pointed out that Daimler Benz is NOT the comapny of new
ideas and fast marketing so the PT Cruiser, Prowler and Viper are probably
things of the past and we will get Euro-boxes from Chrysler in the future.

I gotta throw in on this one. Without a doubt, the Aztek is the
epitome of garish ugliness and by far the most hideous vehicle ever put
into production. I can imagine the words Aztek and Edsel being uttered
in the same breath all over the world at this very moment.
