this is interesting info, and obviously had been up before.
 
has anyone used the mustang float?  i'm curious because i put the plastic
float in just a couple years ago, and now it's a sink <grin>  i would think it
would last longer; the one in my mg has.
 
has anyone else had issues with the plastic float?  am i just unlucky?

I found where I saved the message about the Mustang float for future
reference.  It is copied and pasted below.


Thanks for all your responses on the gas tank sending unit float.  For future
reference, as I learned both MGBs and old Mustangs (65-73) have floats that
will work with the TR6.  The MGB's is plastic while the Mustang's is brass.
The local Ford dealer had one in stock for $7.41 (part number COAZ9202B).
Pretty good considering it costs almost $20 on-line (with shipping).
