Go for it. I've run that size for about 15 years. No clearance probs. If
your car is lower than stock, you might see some fender rubbing at full
wheel lock on unlevel ground. But all-in-all, the 215/70-15 is a great
fit.
I still use the stock rims. They work fine as long as they are round and
the lips aren't gnarly.
