j,---Try blocking the lower +/- half of the radiator with a piece of
cardboard, or something that you can fold and slip up thru the opening
under the grill. The summer 'stat should control the water flow up to
its rated temperature.

correct thermastat
need proper winter/fall rated brand water thermastat; have summer and
isn't warming car enough now that we have november chill in chicagoland.
