The fitting on the fuel line is a BPT pipe fitting. Fortunately
the US equivalent, NPT, is fully compatible. So to answer your question,
it is trivial to replace it.
You will need to cut the brass ferrule to get it off the end of
the fuel line (razor saw works great!), and the brass fitting will then
slide off. Take the fitting to a good hardware or plumbing supply store,
and you will find a nice, new replacement. Don't forget to get a new
ferrule.
Be prepared to pay stupid prices - metal prices are through the
roof, and so anything made of brass is 3x what you would expect to pay.

I unscrewed the two halves and then put it back together again, this
time making sure I had the screws on as tight as I could humanly get
them. The only problem is that from screwing and unscrewing the brass
nuts that connects the solid fuel line to the fuel pump, the brass nut
has gotten chewed up. Is that difficult to replace?
Of course, all of this makes me think about just chucking the old
system and converting to an electric pump.
