Bruce, I recently ordered slave cylinders from TRF and Victoria
British. The TRF one came with a note that "the original
manufacturer has discontinued the TR250/TR6 slave cylinder". They
supplied one made in Italy. There a couple problems with it, notably
that the flange surface was machined on the wrong side so that it did
not fit the best against the transmission bracket. The note
identifies this problem and says "The technical department at Lockhead
feels that the side is flat enough to be mounted without causing a
problem".

The Vic Brit one also was machined on the wrong side and felt very
light, did not look like a quality product. It was NoName...

I installed the TRF one and the improperly machined side was not a problem.

If you can repair the old one, I would do hat.
