| I agree with those who advocate using a leak-down tester. Mine is a Longacre, and, while expensive, is of very good quality. See http://www.longacreracing.com/instructions/inst.asp?INSTID=25 . As the instructions state, make sure the thing is out of gear and the wheels blocked, just in case. Ask me how I know do do this.
