List,
Still thinking about where I am going to install the wiring for my new
variable thermostat along with the thermoprobe onto the rear face of the
radiator.
I am thinking of attaching the thermostat mounting bracket to the wheel arch
in front of the clutch MC putting it close to the other relays, fuse box,
etc. With that location, wiring will be shortest to 12V+ and through the
firewall to the interior switch for Auto/Off/On operation per DMasters book.

Now I need to decide where on the rear face of the radiator I should mount
the thermoprobe. I have 40" of wire from thermostat to thermoprobe. I still
need to get the zip tie "through the radiator" clips to hold the thermoprobe
it
in place. Unless there are other suggestions for mounting it.

My question is where (top, middle, bottom) on the radiator should I mount
the thermoprobe? Obviously the top of the radiator will be the hottest. While
the bottom should be the coolest. I only got the fan (BeCool, 1300 cfm, 16",
pusher) as extra security during long idle at stop lights etc. During normal
running I have decent cooling (about half way or a little less).

I am leaning toward mounting the thermprobe near the top left side of the
radiator (where it should be the hottest), but wanted to check the list.

Also I am finding it difficult to locate a DPDT (6 pole) ON/OFF/ON switch
locally. Online I have found several but would need to order and may have
minimum order limits etc. I tried the normal autoparts stores and an
aftermarket
accessories shop with no luck. Thinking of going to an RV shop to check next.

Many Thanks! Cheers, MRankin
