When was the last time you adjusted your rear brakes? I had the same problem
with my parking brake and after adjusting the rear brakes, the parking
brakes worked much better. It turns out my rear brakes were so out of
adjustment,
that they were almost of no use.
Jack up the rear of the car, remove the road wheels and feel around behind
the rear hub for a square nut. Keep turning this until the rear hub stops
turning, then back it off a 1/4 to 1/2 turn until the hub turns. See if
tightens
up your parking brake.
