Just got my tranny in after some warrantee work, but guess what....it's still
screwed up. It was returned because the sycro in third was bad, leaked and the
OD was sticking. Now it's back in but with some of the old and some new
problems. 3rd gear syncro still bad, leaks at the output flange, seams my old
output flange which had a speedi sleeve on it is somewhere else and not on my
tranny.
OD only works in fourth gear most of the time and kicks out of OD in 3rd and
2nd, this is even when bypassing the solenoid and working the lever on the
right side manually buy putting a drill bit in the lever to hold it engaged.
Fluid is topped up and the solenoid was adjusted by the Bentley manual,
interrupter switches are working correctly. When this didn't work the lever on
the right side was held in place as mentioned earlier. The lever was even move
past the hole in the side of the case and it still refuses to work correctly.
  Any ideas on the cause...anyone.
There is a guy locally who has experience with A type OD's but after speaking
with him I'm not to optimistic, he'll be checking it out soon. Looks like
I'll be pulling the Damned thing again. So Vance I'll be using your
installation advice sooner than expected!!
