Let's see, $60 for a $5 part. Hmmmmm.

Two salient points:

1. the hole can be re-threaded with a coil repair thing such as a
heli-coil.

2. the hole typically strips when the "mechanic" loses track of the short
machine screws that are supposed to thread into the block... the longer
screws bottom against the screws holding the part into the engine block
and the aluminium strips.

Solution - keep track of the fasteners as you take your motor apart and
put things back together correctly.

If you are totally bent on replacing this part, you can get them from core
motors for dirt cheap (the postage will cost more than the part).

Unless someone can indicate why they need a steel replacement part here
(for example to eliminate block flex), I say a $60 part here is wicker
overkill.
