Scot---The '69 motor calls for the 3/8" wide belt to match the pulleys, as opposed to the later 1/2" wide belts. Still, it's always a tight fit to get either belt changed. Short of removing a thrust washer and levering the crankshaft backwards a bit, see if just turning the belt sideways will give you enough clearance to slip it past the cross member. Liquid soap may help. Dick  |
