Hi Mark,

Am I too silly to think this?: remove the dampener oil.  Maybe you have too 
much in there.  I can't imagine that but stranger Zenith-Stromberg 
carburettor symptoms have arisen.

Maybe you could check to see if the diaphragms are still good.  Can't see 
why a 3 year young diaphragm would be bad, but it is easy to check to see if 
it has gone bad.
