Six pack list,

A while back this was being discussed, even though this letter is concerning
bicycles it gives a phone # to report the scam to.

Subject: WARNING to Bikexchange classified advertisers

Hello,

Criminals with bad checks have targeted individual classified advertisers in
our free classifieds. If you do not currently have an ad placed with us, not
to worry. If you have one posted, however, beware buyers from NIGERIA. Two
sellers have been duped by counterfeit checks from supposed buyers from that
country. This is part of a pattern that is under investigation by the US
Secret Service. Just wanted to let you know in case you currently have an ad
placed with us. I would also caution you to beware of this in the future, no
matter where your ads are posted.

If you have been targeted by this "Nigeria" scam, the Secret Service urges you
to call 202-406-5572 to report it. This number has been established just for
the reporting of these types of scams.

I'm sorry for the unsolicited email to those of you who have asked to be
removed from our list, but I needed to get the word out on this. Be assured
you'll receive no more unsolicited emails.

Best,
Jim Joyce, Editor and Founder
