John, unless you are a contortionist, you should be able to remove the
shear bolts largely from the underneath as I recall. Removing the
speedo gives you access to some of the clamp hardware and such. Mine
came out pretty easily, the edge of a reasonably sharp chisel can be
used to whack the shear bolt stump in the direction it wants to unscrew.
I think I gave em one whack and they were fairly loose after that. TRF
sells the shear bolts, I dont think they were a lot of money.
