Hi, Sal---There's a Toyota 5 speed conversion in the works for those
whose TR factory gearbox is nearing the time of major repair. This
conversion is pretty close to the OD top gearing, and would increase top
speed for those engines strong enough to take advantage of the taller
gearing. (Or just want a more relaxed cruising) If you're interested,

Meanwhile, forced induction will allow you to reach red line quicker.
You might even reach this in your 4th gear. Depending on what boost
pressure you make with your setup, even a modist 6lb. should knock about
3 seconds off your 0-60 time, and a couple of seconds from the 1/4 mile.
