The shroud is made by Goodparts. I have one on my car, made of
aluminum. I believe he has stainless steel models now. I think it
makes the engine bay look great, plus it doesn't warp or blow around
like the OE cardboard ones. Goodparts also makes an airbox system that
replaces the standard air filter box. An air filter is mounted
directly behind the front grill, and a flexible rubber pipe of about 3"
diameter runs from this filter, through the shroud (a hole must be cut
in the shroud to accomodate this) and then to an airbox that is bolted
to the carbs. Very similar to the system fitted to PI equipped TR6s.
It is in effect a cold air intake system, and should lower intake air
temps quite a bit, with corresponding increases in power. It also
looks great.
