Hello listers,
I am having great difficulty installing new escutcheons on my 75 TR6 for
the window winder and door handle. I ordered both parts from MOSS
(803-375 door handle) (803-365 window winder). One is thicker than the
other. Judging from Bentley manual page 442 I assume the thick one goes
on the window winder. I can't seem to figure out the correct way of
putting the buggers on. I am using coat hanger wire since the little
pins are way too much hassle. On the thin escutcheon, does the pin go
through the handle behind or in front of the escutcheon? I put the pin
through the handle in front of the escutcheon but now there is a small
gap showing. Not sure if that is right, but the handle doesn't fit
through the escutcheon hole enough to be able to put the pin through
behind the escutcheon. Am I making any sense? Any help would be
greatly appreciated. I am trying to get my TR6 finished up for the
Southeast VTR regionals in Lake City Florida.
