Bernard---I also used the graphite-based grease on my half-shafts, at
least ten years ago. I just looked at the can that it comes in, and it's
labeled MOLYKOTE, and made by Alpha products. I think it has great
staying qualities, and find that it also does the job well at the clutch
splines and throw-out bearing sleeve. It doesn't sling off, and need
only be applied sparingly with a short brush. If you get any on your
hands, you'll think it will never come off! I believe in a semi-closed
environment as with the half shafts, it should last "forever."
