Thanks for all the replies.
I'm going to use the spare as there's no play and the teeth aren't worn like
the originals.
I did find another use for the original though! I hammered out the worn pin
and the other one so I had a bare shaft, got the electric drill out, put it
in reverse and stuffed the shaft in the drill..... and bob's your uncle I had
an oil pump motor:-) It works really good too no need to turn the crank and
there's oil all through the engine!!
As the engine hasn't been run for about 6 months it is good to know there's
oil in the bearings for the coming start-up.
