- I use vise grip pliers to bring the short end forward to hook it on. I do this without the hinge conected to the lid. PS: Your tanks are coated and will be sealed this weekend. Paul

- I have a firm love for eye covers. A brake spring and a plyers got me... Onely the plyer did but I had several bad moments thinking the hook of the spring was stuck in my eye.. chuck

- The best way is to NOT have the arm/lever attached to the boot lid. You can then rotate the lever into position and attach the spring. With the lever attached to the spring you will have enough lever
