I'd actually argue, that if you get the alignment of the new clip RIGHT, it's better to clip it than to panel it. Fitting a panel is a lot of work, and the factory way was old- world- lots of welds a

Having done both two times, I would vote for clipping the car instead of trying to trim two quarter panels and lining them up properly. If you are doing a clip, the frame actually helps you, as once

ooo, Dan's right- don't just overlap. But you CAN use what the British call a 'joggler'- (I think we call it a flanging tool) It creates an 18-ga 'step' about 3/8" back in a panel. Then you can fit a

You guys have real good information. I googled jogglers, and see that some come with the ability to produce 6mm holes for spot/MIG welding panels. Now to find out where to get one... Fred - So.SF --O
