I have my timing chains installed on my U-20 and am ready install the front cover. I have a question. Upon removal of the timing components I layed them on the bench. There were two shims about .020

The shims go between the crankshaft and the crankshaft timing gear - if needed. You need to put the crank gear and the jackshaft gears on the engine and then place a straight edge from the jackshaft
