I got new straps (and foams and covers) last year when I re-did my seats. The new straps were really, really tight. Even after a year, the seat back is a bit too stiff, and does not offer a whole lot

Hi Tim, There are 2 nuts that hold the rubber conical bonnet stops - 1 of which is inside a bracket that is attached to the bonnet. The nut is stopped from moving by the bracket. The problem is that

Doug, Paul, you confirmed my thoughts. In fact the one bungy cord I bought last night to try, I cut in half and I can adjust the length/tension as it has holes in it with thick surrounds at the holes

BTW, my latex seat base foams were made by Dunlop. Their name was molded in... The original foam around the front and sides of my seat bases (squabs?) was nice stuff that was in pretty good condition

The tighter ...the better. Spit/GT6 seats are infamously lacking support... under your butt, and behind your back. Buy a few rubber bungy cords...not the cloth/elastic types and add a few straps even
