Hi all, can you tell me if the rear springs are the same for a 1600 vs a 2000 datsun roadster, i have new 1600 rear springs on the shelf ,, and my 69 2000 needs a new set. not sure but look the same

The early 1600 rear springs were a different rate, but all the later ones are the same.

I have a 70 2000 and want to replace the rear springs. I'm real new at this as I just got my car. Do I have to use original springs or can I get some matching springs that are new? thanks Law Office

I readthe Bob Sharp 'Datsun Comp Manual' of the Datsun.org site. It stated that 67 1600 and all 2000 had soft rear springs..saying to change to Nissan Comp or early 1600 rear springs. Has anyone done

I haven't tried the 1600 springs yet (I've considered it) but I have run the comp springs for a long time and I assure you they are very stiff. I wouldn't run comp rears without also installing comp

Hi Gordon, all I agree, my race car uses std rate rear springs, perverted with reverse eyes and lowered , but std rate. I also use lower cold pressures on the rear, it hangs on better that way. Regar
