I haven't done this repair in the car so I can't tell you how much you have to lift or even if it can be done! But keep in mind that the oil pump sits very close to the bottom of the pan at the front

My oil pan is leaking around the drain plug and I think I might have to get a new oil pan. I have changed my engine from a 351W to a 351C. that shouldn't make much of a difference in the oil pan size
