the Hitachi carbs on a 2L are pretty direct (licenced, even) copies of Skinner Union H6's, and the 1600 got H4's. They're almost part-for-part compatible, with the exception of screw pitch. However,

I just talked to Scott from Ztherapy on the differences. He said the same as Toby did. Other than the linkage differences they are the same. He did state that the British carbs are definitely not as

Can't put 240 carbs on a roadster as the float chamber will hit the brake master and the linkage is a nightmare - been there, done that! Datsun Mike

It's been done by the PO of my car. There are 240Z carbs on my 1600 Roadster. Thought the float chamber was in the wrong place. Yes they moved the linkage too!
