I've about had it with my water gauge that leaves me guessing as to what the temp actually is. Have any of you installed an after market mechanical gauge? If so, where did you put the sending unit?(

Better still, There have two kinds of mounts over the years where the temp sender attaches to Spitfire engines. On my car, I have both types installed. The one type is on the right side of the water

I replaced mine with a SunPro mechanical guage. The DPO had moved the headlight switch down where the radio was and put the fuel guage in it's place. The guage hole furthermost to the right is now a
